The Miss Arkansas Scholarship Foundation Golf Tournament strives to provide a first-class golf experience for Golfers and Sponsors. The 2014 tournament included a pre-tournament party for golfers and sponsors - Spikes & Stilettos – held on May 18, featuring the band Riverbilly, a live and silent auction, great food and beverages and lots of fun for everyone. Also in attendance for the events were Amy Crain, Miss Arkansas 2013, several former Miss Arkansas’s, the 46 Miss Arkansas 2014 Contestants and Golf Channel’s 2-time Big Break Contestant – Golf Professional Christina Lecuyer.
On May 19th, the 1PM shotgun start (shamble format) was preceded by a player’s lunch, and the day ended with a Helicopter Ball Drop and Awards Ceremony. Over $100,000 was raised during the events; all proceeds are directed to scholarship funding.
The Miss Arkansas Scholarship Foundation is the sole fundraising organization for the Miss Arkansas Pageant; it is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and as such all donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. In 2014, Miss Arkansas Contestants will receive more than $80,000 in cash scholarships and an additional $300,000 in in-kind scholarships to Arkansas universities and colleges.
